Creating a thoughtful timeline for your wedding day ensures everything flows smoothly, keeps stress at bay, and lets you actually be present in each moment rather than chasing what’s next. When your vendors, photographer, and wedding-party all know what’s happening and when, you’ll enjoy the day more, your photos will look relaxed and natural, and you’ll feel more connected to your guests and to each other.

• Build buffer time into every part of the day (10–15 minutes between events) to keep things relaxed and avoid stress.
• Plan 45–60 minutes per person for hair/makeup, plus around 2 hours for the bride. Also set aside time for details, getting dressed, and individual portraits.
• Decide early if you want a first look, since it moves portraits earlier and frees up more time after the ceremony.
• Pre-plan family photos with a shot list to keep everything organized and efficient.
• If golden hour portraits are important, schedule 15–45 minutes about 45 minutes before sunset.
• Consider travel time between locations, plus wiggle room for parking, touch-ups, and transitions.
• Share your timeline with the wedding party and vendors so everyone knows where to be and when.
• Assign a point person to handle questions, helping you stay present and relaxed.
• Don’t over schedule. Leave space for natural moments and a 10–15 minute break alone together.
• Prioritize what matters most to you so those parts of the day never feel rushed.

Your wedding day should feel joyful, intentional, and authentically you. Building a timeline doesn’t mean being rigid, it means giving yourself a clear plan so you can relax and be present!! When you, your partner, your photographer and your vendors are all on the same page, the day flows and your photos reflect exactly how you felt.
